Family Background: Millicent is the youngest of five and the only girl. Her mother, Lucinda, passed away when Millicent was five, leaving her in the care of her father, Quentin, her older brothers, and the house elves. Shortly after her seventh year, her father remarried a war widow, Gertrude, and now has two younger step-siblings.

Description: "No pixie" while in Hogwarts, it was only under her step-mother's careful tutelage that Millicent began to refine her image. It's amazing what a simple hair coloring charm and a bit of make up can do for one's image. She will never grace the cover of Witch Weekly (which suits her just fine), but she doesn't do too badly for herself.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Like many Slytherins, Millicent is quite protective and loyal to what she thinks of has 'hers', most others she can leave behind. While she has the ability to play the Slytherin game she often has little patience for it. Her vocabulary is quite filthy and it only gets worse in Russian.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time:

Birth to Hogwarts

Born on St. Valentine's Day, Millicent was an unexpected surprise, not only because her parents had thought they were done giving birth, but because they thought she'd be a boy like the rest of their children. Her birth was celebrated, however, especially by her mother, who had desperately wanted a little girl she could dress up. In fact, one of Millicent's earliest memories, and one of only a handful with her mother, is of Lucinda brushing and plaiting her hair.

Life as she knew it changed completely upon her mother's death, when Millicent was five. Her father, Quentin, almost completely withdrew into himself, leaving her care and comfort to her eldest brother, Dominic, who had recently completed Hogwarts, as well as the house elves. She quickly learned that her brothers would not take into consideration that she was a girl or that she was years younger than they were and that she best keep up.

She grew up following after not only Dominic, but Malcolm, Calvin, and Sebastian. She learned how to wrestle, curse, ride horses, and climb trees at her brothers' elbows, often times earning the bruises and scratches right along side. She had, and still maintains, a close relationship with all of her brothers.

Hogwarts

The transition into Hogwarts was a hard one for Millicent. Though her sorting into Slytherin was not unexpected, being away from home was especially hard. In addition, she felt out of place with the other girls in her year as she more often than not had trouble acting appropriately "girl-like," which earned her no favors. Her self-esteem took a blow and she found it was easier to follow and pretend that she had close friends rather try and ford her own path. This, of course, lead her to joining Draco Malfoy and his cronies in Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad.

Her eldest brother, Dominic, was most displeased upon discovering her school activities, giving her a harsh reprimand and lecture about staying neutral in a time of crisis. Their very business relied on people purchasing their goods. It did not matter who purchased them or why they did, as long as they did. He was so angry, he nearly struck her. Continuing on, the elder Bulstrode practically told her, that as a female, she had no place in politics and should keep to her studies.

Returning much subdued in her sixth year, she did as suggested, throwing herself into her schoolwork. Ignoring the advances of Corwin Macnair, the boy who would later be her escort at her less than perfect debut, Millicent began to plot to get back at her brother. While she understood the outside world's underestimation of her, due both to her appearance and her gender, she never expected the same from her family. Over the Christmas holidays she slipped Dominic something that sure to keep him close by the loo and out of her sight.

Her seventh year passed much the same way, with her immersed in her studies as Death Eaters reigned over Hogwarts. While her family had not affiliated with any known side, they were pureblooded and had several close ties with known Death Eaters, so she was left alone. When Hogwarts was evacuated at end of term, rather than fight, Millicent left and Apparated home to Dunmore to wait out the final outcome behind the wards.

After Hogwarts

As soon as she received her NEWT results, Millicent began to work towards her Potions Mastery. In addition, her relationship with her father, which had been quite distant since her mother's passing began to warm again, with help from her step-mother, Gertrude, who took it upon herself to give the young woman some of her femininity back. While the efforts worked in terms of outward appearance and general social graces, Millicent has no problem returning to her old ways should the situation require it.

As soon as she had her Mastery in hand, she was off to Russia under Dominic's directive. There was hope that a marriage between the Bulstrode and Mikhailov families might occur, creating a merger between the largest supplier of potions ingredients in Russia with their own business. Unfortunately for all involved neither she nor her intended, Ivan, were particularly enamored with one another. She found him dull and he thought she was too opinionated. There was a moment of hope, however, when sparks flew between Millicent and cousin, Dimitri, leading to a year long affair that nearly ended in engagement. Although their romance ended, a close friendship remains. She also found herself in Russia, taking comfort in the relative anonymity and culture the foreign country provided.

Since returning to Britain, and Dunmore, she has carefully prodded her brothers, especially the two eldest, towards marriage (one must think about continuing the line after all). Millicent has slowly begun to play the social circles, though she is finding it harder than she did in Russia, thanks to both her past and her relative lateness to such functions. She has also tried to repair a previously distant relationship with her step-siblings, Jason and Abigail.
